Itel’s success relies upon our investment in research and development. We promote innovation through the continuous development of new technologies and skills in the sectors of electromagnetic waves, fields and radiations, as well as electromagnetic compatibility, mathematical models and numerical simulations, software solutions, electronics, signal processing, precision mechanics, mechatronics, robotics and radio pharmacy.

We pursue our goals also thanks to the successful cooperation with research centers, external partners, University and Polytechs, such as the University and the Polytech of Bari, the University of Naples, the polytechnic University of Marche, the University of Lecce, the University of L’Aquila as well as other various academic spin-offs.

The technologies recently developed by ITEL include:

  • System HYP3 for production of hyperpolarized 3He for non-invasive diagnosis of lung lesions and diseases
  • Dose calibrator for determination of the activity of radionuclides and radiotracers
  • MONIRAD System for monitoring and control of radiations and environmental parameters in classified environments
  • Robotized platform for patient positioning
  • Proton linear accelerator (p-Linac)
  • Integrated control software (TPS)
